We have so much stuff!!!! I can't stand it, so getting ready for a huge garage sale over Labor Day weekend. Lots of work to do.
Get ready for the fair! Kyle will race his hornet on the 31st!
Well I haven't posted for the last 3 races. this week was real good. Cody qualified 10th got 4th in his heat and finished 8th. That is super compared to the 2 previous weeks with nothing but carburator problems which held Cody from packing the track, hot lapping, qualifying or heat racing. so luckily with some help , we managed to transfer out of the B and make it to the A main each time. So with that said Cody is consistant and maintains 10th position in the points standings. Not to bad for a rookie!
What a hoot! Kyle finally got to race his Hornet! The guys were working on the thing all week in preparation for the big debut. They even put flames on the hood with spray paint. Anyway, Kyle and Steve went to the track at around 2:00. Cody and I showed up around 6 and here is Kyle on the track with his car and his 5000.00 stereo signing autographs!!He was even signing the back of a girls shirt! It was hilarious. Terry Buell interviewed him as well. I couldn't believe my eyes. My son had suddenly grown up that day. I am so proud of him. Anyway he got 2nd in his heat and took 4th in the main event. He put a rod through the block and went off the track smoking!!! So, we need to replace a motor already. It was a great day at the track!
Cody had a pretty good night considering he only got 1 qualifying lap. The fuel pump went out during hot laps and Steve had to replace it before Cody qualified. Well needless to say, he didn't get done in time so Cody only got 1 lap. He qualified 14th, got 2nd in his heat and finished 9th in the main. He moved up 1 more spot in the points. He is now 11th and we are shooting for the 10 spot. We had the 4th of July weekend off so Kyle could race his hornet at Evergreen. Next week we have mid season championships and a firework show. Should be a good time.
I need sunshine!!! Enough already. We are not supposed to see the sun til next week! I am seriously thinking property in eastern Washington. I can't take much more dreary days. Argh!! I'm going tanning...............
Another great fathers day at the Rock Church! This year was off the charts! The weather was awesome, huge car turnout, great food, good music and lots of testosterone filling the air. The guys had a blast . Burning rubber, Cody was doing wheelys in his sprint. It reminded me of Tim Allen ouh ouh ouh! It was great! The Rock church does everything with excellence and we are blessed to be a part of such a great church!
Another successful week! Cody did well and has moved up 1 spot in points. He qualified 12th was leading his heat race but he got new gloves which are a little bulkier than his old ones and acidently hit the kill switch right in the middle of a good run. So he ended up 5th in his heat which meant he had to race his way into the A. He finished 2nd in the B main and got 8th in theA . It was a night full of carnage(maybe because of Friday the 13th) and his class didn't even race all there laps. The officials called it for time after 18 grueling laps. So all in all we had a good night. We have next week off. Lesson learned: don't buy new gloves right before your race!
My first session with my trainer went very well. I had a great workout and look forward to Wednesday. I felt like the new girl at school. My preconceived idea of the gym is gone as I need to be there for me. My thighs hurt from those darn lunges. That was the worst part of the workout. Looking forward to the end result!
You go girl. That is AWSOME!! Great Job! :) read more
